모금활동 소개
"Our mission, as always, is to empower North Korean refugees to find their own voice and path through education, advocacy, and support."
--teachnorthkoreanrefugees.org (2017)
I started volunteering with TNKR this year and feel privileged to be part of such an invaluable and professional organization. I am empowered by the stories of the refugees I teach. They have overcome seemingly insurmountable hardships to find freedom and to make their voices heard. The world needs to hear their unique experiences and profound perspectives. TNKR is not only providing them an opportunity to build a meaningful life outside of North Korea, but to reach an audience that is largely in the dark about what is happening in this part of the world. It is an incredibly worthy cause and one that deserves your financial support.
"The government was keeping me from my family because I knew their secrets. I could not stay in a country that would not let me be with my family. I could not follow a leader who lied to his people. The country brought my family together but the government tore us apart." --Cherie Yang, winner of 5th Speech Contest 2017 (my student!) :)
Please take the 5 minutes to donate even just $5.00 to assist these incredible people in their transition to life outside of North Korea. You can trust that TNKR will put it to good use and that you will be helping to make the world a better place. Thank you!
