안녕하세요
최원혁입니다.
저는 아시아 퍼시픽 인터네셔널 국제학교 11학년에 다니는 최원혁입니다.
저의 할아버지는 고향이 함경북도 구성군입니다. 6.25 전쟁에 할아버지는 서울로 피난오셔서 할머니와 결혼하여 서울에서 돌아가실떄까지 살으셨습니다. 늘 할머니에게 북한에 있는 가족과 고향을 그리워 하셨다고 합니다 그리고, 이북 5도민 모임도 계속 하셨다고 합니다. 어린시절 할머니를 따라 이북5도민 체육대회를 함께 참가 하기도 하였습니다.

I am Choi Won-hyuk, the 11th grade at Asia Pacific International School.
My grandfather is from Guseong-gun, North Hamgyeong Province In North Korea. During the Korean War, my grandfather fled to Seoul, married my grandmother, and lived until he died in Seoul. He always missed his family and hometown in North Korea. Also, he continued to hold meetings with North Korean 5 Province(Do) Residents. When I was young, I followed my grandmother and participated in the North Korean 5 Province(Do) residents' sports competition.

지난해 탈북민들의 한국에서의 정착생활을 돕는 Freedom Speakers International 단체를 우연히 알게 되었고 저도 단체의 펀드라이징 멤버가 되어서 적극적으로 활동하고 있습니다. 할아버지의 북한에 대한 그리운 이야기를 자주 들어오면서 성장한 저에게는 탈북민을 도울수 기회를 갖게 되어 매우 기쁘게 생각합니다.

Last year, I came across a Freedom Speakers International organization that helps North Korean refugees settle in South Korea, and I am also actively working as a fundraising member of the organization. I am very happy to have the opportunity to help North Korean refugees because I have grown up listening to my grandfather's longing stories about North Korea often.

2022년 2월 1일, 구정을 보내면서 가족들과 친척들과 모여 함께 차례를 지내고 떡국을 먹고 지내는 전통적인 설날을 보내기에는 Covid-19 팬더믹이라는 현실때문에 어려운 현실입니다. 그러나 저는 온라인으로 친척들에게 세배를 하고 받은 세뱃돈을 FSI에 개인 프로젝트에 참여하여 한국에 정착하려고 노력하는 탈북민을 위해 도네이션 하고자 합니다.

On February 1, 2022, it is a difficult reality to spend the Lunar New Year's Day with family and relatives and spend a traditional Lunar New Year's Day eating rice cake soup.
However, I would like to donate the New Year's cash gifts I receive from relatives online for North Korean refugees who are trying to settle in South Korea by participating in a personal project at FSI.
